Terms and conditions for the Participants of the Green Technology for Sustainable Environment 2024 conference (GTSE24) organized by the Poznan University of Technology

§ 1. General rules

  1. To participate in the Conference, a participant must register via a registration form made available by the Organiser on the Conference website.
  2. A participant of the Conference is obliged to pay a registration fee by the deadline in the amount specified on the website https://gtse24.com/important-dates/. If the fee is not paid by the deadline, participation in the Conference may be cancelled.
  3. Registration is tantamount to acceptance of the provisions of these Regulations.
  4. The Conference Participant will be informed about correct registration by e-mail to the address provided by the Participant in the registration form.
  5. The Conference Participant is obliged to send an abstract of his/her presentation (oral or poster) in electronic form according to the guidelines on https://gtse24.com/guidelines-and-templates/. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed and the author will be informed by e-mail at the address indicated in the registration form of the abstract qualification for inclusion in the conference materials.
  6. The Scientific Committee is composed of academics announced by the Organiser on the conference website. The Scientific Committee is responsible for providing a high scientific level of the conference by their scientific supervision.
  7. The submitted topic of the presentation along with the description should comply with the law and generally accepted social norms, including: it cannot contain content commonly regarded as offensive, it cannot offend religious or political feelings or violate the rights of third parties. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any entry contrary to the requirements specified in these Rules.
  8. The Organiser has the right to verify whether the conditions for participation in the Conference are met. The Organiser has the right to exclude an active Participant from the Conference if it is found that the given Participant acts contrary to these Regulations or does not meet the conditions of participation specified in these Regulations.
  9. Online payment & Cancellation terms are presented on the conference website. If a registrant is unable to attend an event for any reason, they may substitute, by arrangement with the Conference Organizer, someone else of co-authors, or from the same institute/organization. Written requests for cancellations must be sent to the Conference office via e-mail info@gtse24.com. Cancellation up to 60 days prior to the event date involves no processing fee. Cancellation less than 60 days prior to the event date requires a processing fee equals to 50% of the registration fee.

§ 2. Consent to filming

  1. During the Conference, the Organiser may carry out photo sessions and filming of the Conference for documentation, promotion, and advertising purposes.
  2. The participant of the Conference confirms, by registering for the Conference, that he or she agrees to the free use of his or her image, voice, and statements recorded during the Conference.
  3. Participation in the Conference is tantamount to expressing gratuitous consent, unlimited in terms of quantity, time, and territory, for the use, processing, reproduction, and repeated dissemination of the participant’s image recorded in the photographs/films taken during the Conference, without the necessity of their approval each time, for informational, promotional and advertising purposes of the Conference.
  4. The above consent is tantamount to the fact that photographs and recordings taken during the Conference may be posted on the Internet, including primarily on the Conference website and social media: Facebook, Instagram, etc.

§ 3. Final Provisions

  1. The Organiser reserves the right to use the e-mail address provided during registration for the Conference to notify Participants of, among other things, changes to the program, Rules, and Regulations and to send invitations to future editions of the Conference.
  2. The participant confirms, by registering for the Conference, that he or she has read the Terms and conditions of the GTSE24 and accepts their provisions.
  3. Any disputes that may arise from participation in the Conference shall be settled by a court having jurisdiction over the registered office of the Organiser.
  4. In matters not covered by these Regulations, the provisions of the Polish Civil Code shall apply.
  5. These Regulations shall enter into force on immediately after their publication on the Conference’s website.
